God

Today service is fantastic!! Pastor Kong shared about God and the Ancient China. Many people would have thought that Christianity is a western religion. But what pastor shared today really open our eyes about God in the Chinese World.

In the historical books written by various historian by Sima Qian and all, 2500BC, before Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism come into the picture ( 5-6 BC), the chinese people worship the one and only mighty God, Shang di. :) The character of Shangdi is exactly the God in the bible. Not only that, in the various statues,it the chinese historians recorded the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ! The time and date is exactly the same as what was recorded in the bible. I was like blown away!! How cool can that be??!

When i was young girl, i used to think that Jesus is just a fictional character. I know that Jesus is a good person but i can't link to the fact that he's a real person that really existed!! I really took quite a long while to accept that!

I believe the service today has really break the religious & legalistic view that the Chinese are losing their traditional roots when they become Christians! That's not true! I'm proud to be a Chinese and a Christian! :)
