I'm in awe of His Love

Ytd's service is fantastic! Pastor Kong preached about the 7 qualities of servanthood =D During worship, presence of God is so strong and i was reminded of a conversation i had with my friend the night before. I said, "In a relationship, a girl will stick and follow the boy forever if she knows he is willing to die for her" Then, it strucks to me that this statement that i made is for God too. Why are there so many people following Jesus and His vision even after 2000 years..?The fact is we know that Jesus died for us out of His love..but let's aknowledge it.There's no need for Him to do so, yet He still did it.. That is why i will stick to and follow Him wherever He goes.

I went for morning prayer devotion today. I'm glad i went and i'm really blessed by it! When i stepped into the hall around 715,720am, i was like "WOAH", so many people were there and it's like early in the morning! We quietly sat down and pray on our own. Presence of God is so strong and the atmosphere is so thick. As i prayed and talked to God, tears just rolled down from the corner of my eyes. I'm in awe of God's love..I had a conversation with God and i promised Him i will not give up. Even if all is lost, i will still continue running the race for Him. Sometimes, it's just an encounter or Word from God that will propel us to move on..I'm really thankful..really..

Yesterday after service, Boonkiat and I were walking out of the hall and i was asking for his advice on a situation. I was then feeling quite down and helpless about it. And he said "must be patient". Suddenly, my whole spirit is being lifted up! I don't feel helpless, confused and lost anymore. And i could see a new light in the situation!! I mean "Must be patient" is just a normal sentence, but to me, it's a rhema Word. Just like Jesus, during the storm, he just said, "Peace!", and the whole atmosphere is being changed! And when Jesus resurrected and walked into the room of the disciples, he just said, "Peace!" and the disciples who were previously feeling fearful, lost and disillusioned were changed! They became hopeful, bold and encouraged!

I'm thankful that God uses people around me to remind me of His love and power :)

I'm proud to be a child of God, a follower of Jesus Christ!!

Happy 43rd Bday, Singapore!!! =D

HAPPY 43rd BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE!!! =D

I just had a very full steamboat dinner + durians with my parents just now!! I was watching the NDP and F16s are being showcased! It's fantastic!! I like the part when the camera is taken from within the plane cabinet and it features the pilot n scenery from that point of view! I mean..How i wish i'm the pilot!! Flying F16!!! That's COOL!! However, being a pilot has never been an ambition for me since i was young! Coz i got fear of heights! I think i will just scream and faint right on the spot! =X

Anyway, i really thank God that I'm a Singaporean!! Yeah..sometimes we may say things like living in singapore is reallys stressful, coz of the work pace and education expectation etc..But think of it, without the that, we won't be where we are today! Within few decades, we're transformed from a fishing village to an international hub! =D I'm so proud to be a Singaporean! whooosh!

I had cg in the afternoon! And Lol...this is my own first time sharing the Word with a chinese interpreter LOL. And she's Renming! She's like professional interpreter lo! Her command of chinese is fantastic! And one thing i notice about my cgm today (ok, actually it's combined cgm) is that there're many international peeps. Got members and friends from German, China, America, England, Malaysia and Singapore. For a moment, i felt we're like United Nations!!! And i guess, from the way i see it from where i'm sitting, we had a breathrough attendance! Other than the 1 round circle, we had additional 2 more rows. =D Thank God!

Last night, i still went to Dwayne's cell group to sit in as he's preaching the message that i preached 2 weeks back. So i went there to learn from him, to see how he do it. He gave me very good suggestions! Thank God i went last night, can tou1 shi1 =D

Personally i strongly that serving is the way to spiritual growth. Friends, let's really find all opportunities to serve one another inside and outside church! It doesn't matter how lowly or how highly we serve, God loves all people, and these are the people that we gotta serve. Just like Jesus, coming down on earth not as a King to be served, but a servant who is willing to serve :)

2 more days to school reopening!! =D

Excited!

I'm excited for the coming semesters!! for a few reasons!! The thought of it makes my heart jump a beat faster!!
1) School is starting soonnnnnnnnnnn!!!! WHEE!!

You see, when i was in my school semester previously, i really can't wait for holidays to start. But now, i can't wait for school to start!! This 3 months have been really fruitful!! i feel that i didn't waste it at all =D i got to work at recruit express at the recruitment consultant and i get to meet many people everyday. It trains up my eloquency in speaking and my courage to meet complete strangers. And many of ya may not know, i don't like to call people up! End up, in this line, ( like the previous job in UOB call centre), i got to call many others who replied to my job advertisement and meet them up to interview them. And i get to work in ultimate stressful environment. I would put the stress level of Olevel, Alevel, Uni exam period as 8/10. I mean studying for exams can be stressful! but it's still manageable. However, personally, i feel, the stress level of working there 9/10!! But i'm still thankful to God for giving me this chance to learn how to deal with people, how to increase my stress management threshold and how to love one another more.

Then, after working for 1.5 months there, i quitted. My friends and i started to prepare the NUS-NTU camp! We did dry runs and we had meetings. Sometimes, it can last till midnight! Yet, everyone is so united and determined to do it well. And on 21st to 23rd July, we had the camp itself and it's fantastic!! We had lotsa fun in the camp itself. Many friendships are being forged and then, the post camp syndrome continues! lol.

After which, i worked for Boonkiat & Francis at suntec Garden Festival for 8 straight days.. Honestly, there are some days when i worked full day, from 10am to 10pm.. and it's Xiong. lol. Most of the time we're standing. We got to introduce our product (composite timber from US) and show our previous projects ( like Crowne Plaza in Terminal 3, 1 degree 15 Marina, Kovan Melody) etc to the clients. The clients can be architects, landscapers, contractor, developers or house owners! Again, it trains up my courage and eloquency in speaking =D

And now!! School is starting =D I enjoyed my 3 months holidays as i get to learn a lot!! I not only have fun, but i did have constructive learning from the working world. lol.

2) I'm going to dental clinic next week and most prob i will have my braces on soon!! i can't wait for my teeth to be straightened! But that would mean, i would be in braces for 1 years +++. =X However, it's worth it i think! BUT..it's exx!!

3) I'm going to do something new in cg this week! LoL.

We went to send Grace off yesterday at changi airport. She's going to a faraway land full of salmon. Norway. The rest of us met up first to buy her soft toys and we bought her a pillow and a meh meh. Timo is so hilarious!! LOL

Timo: "Ok lo!" And he went to sniff the soft toy!! LOL we nearly laugh till we roll on the floor!!

We wanted to buy her a cute pillow and Timo is helping to choose, and then he hugs the pillow very tightly!

We:" Wah timo, why you hug? Later got your fragrance!"

Timo:" What? I got bathe before i come okies?" Lol

Timo is very cute and funny! hahahaa he's still the same ever since we all know each other at 17 years old. We love him a lot and he's the genius in our class. Very nice, smart and intelligent :)

Knowledge, wisdom. Dresses!

I spoke to Dwayne after Nus meeting ytd and he shared with me the things that he learned in the Global Leadership Conference and his own experiences in handling people. And it was amazing! The things that came out of him is of wisdom and knowledge. Many friends asked me how old Dwayne is and they're surprised he's only going year 1 this semester! So proud of my this brother!

Today, after ldr's meeting, Xinhong and I talked for a moment and he was telling me about the things he learnt in business. And he could actually combine Business with Science. I shall summarize it in simple terms. For instance, Business follows after the pattern of Ecosystem, for example, The niche and the fighting for survival in the ecosystem is the same concept as of business. Also, even epidermic can be linked to business too! If we could find and hit a epidermic point in the market, it will spread like fire. For instance, Apple ipod by Steve Jobs. And he explains and elaborates. In me, I was like "woah". i was so inspired by the both of them. They're only 21 & 22 years old, yet they're far more knowledgable than many of us! I must get wisdom and knowledge. Even in the bible, it says, "Wisdom is supreme, therefore, get wisdom"

Anyway, these 2 days have been great!! Met up with Kelly and Twin individually! =D

Recently, Things like, MR J came up to meiqi and say "heys myrna!! how come you're here???" or not MR T.T can come up to me in school and say, "You look so familiar!! Meiqi right??" Lol. And 2 years back, meiqi and i actually had the same hairstyle! And our mutual friends then always mistaken us for each other. One even though both of us are actually the same 1 person LOL *faints! But i feel so honoured to look like her!! * HUGS* She's my intelligent, strong, pretty, caring and fun loving darling!

After today, I'm hungry to know more. As we grow up, the more knowledge we need to gain. It's when i go out and meet different kinds of people, then realized that i need to know more in order to strike a solid conversation. Be it economics, politics and business and so on. I'm very raw in that, but i got to learn. It's the preparation for the things to come. :)

FOP and Post camp syndrome!!

Today's FOP session is fantastic!! Pastor Mark. C is awesome! He captures the attention of the audience with his humour and wits! And through this, he brought his points cross =D Something to learn from him too! At the end of the session, Reuben Morgan and the Hillsong band is leading P & W. People just went down to the front and started to jump and dance around to praise God! We went down too! haha.

After the FOP session, we had a NUS-NTU post camp supper haha! It was quite sudden, yet around 20+ of us went together!! We all got so high outside North Entrance. Practically went crazy! We did our cheers! LOL like, "Power cheer", "Shy cheer", "Telephone cheer". haha people thought we were crazy! but i guess it's the post-camp syndrome! =D

I feel really blessed to be running for the vision with this group of people!! =) And the camp has blessed me so much with regards to my walk with God. I really thank God that He gave me this opportunity to be involved and something good will definitely come out of all these! =D In fact, good things have already come out of it!

Night Safari!! & Happy21st bday dawson!

Today's cell group is cool!! There were quite a few ABC and British friends who were present! And also, a new young friend joined us! Her name is charlene. She's only 14 years old! When i looked at her, i was like "She's really young and small!" This is her first time in our cg and she's really shy :) Maybe she's intimidated by us! We're either uni students or young working adults. lol.. I'm her spokeperson after a while. I guess the age gap is quite far from us but everyone is putting a lot of effort into make this little girl feels comfortable. haha. Everyone asked her the same questions individually. "What school are you from?? which cca are you in?? Where you live??" But after a while, she feels really shy. She turned to me, and give me the "shy and paiseh face" then i asked her, "wah, okok, u wan me to be your spokeperson is it??" lol..Then when alvin asked her the same whole set of question again, for every question, she will turn to me and i know.."Yes..i'm her spokeperson." and i will answer for her. lol interesting. After cg, i went down for 2 bday celebrations:)

Pre Wendy's 21st Bday celebration! =D we all went to night safari! haha it's expensiveeeeeee!! $32 per head!! but thank God that we got 4 free tix, so we just need to buy 3 more tix and split the cost. =D We only stayed from 9pm to 11pm. A bit short tho. We went to the animal show. It was fantastic!! The presenter is very eloquent and funny. lol. They hid a fat python in the audience benches lo!! One of the part is that they found out that an animal is lost in the show! And hence, they conduct a search amongst the audience! And REALLY! the python is really in one of the benches! It is all planned but!! it's still very erxin lo! Thank God it wasn't the bench that i'm sitting on. lol
