Today we went to send Kenneth off!

Thank God for Liangwei, he came to pick Yanghong and I up after the mentorship programme and we headed to Changi Village for dinner. After which, we stayed at Changi Airport Starbucks for 2 hours, chilling..waiting for Kenneth to come. Anyway he's my 3rd friend whom i sent off within 5 days since monday =X

Anyway, all the best to you, my dear friend!!! =D

Road!

Last night, we had a camp dry run from 7pm plus and we ended at 2am! haha how exciting it is!
We went to the scariest part in and outside the school! There are around 15 or more of us present and during the last part when we're splitted into 3 cars, 6 of us took friend's car to go to a secret place! It's spooky!! We girls were like..."Can we not go in????" And we found faeces in one of the secret places!! We were like "Oh no..this place is deserted, how come there's faeces???" And we ran out of the place! I Can't say it now!! Anyway, our friend deliberately went past this "99th street". It's a very winding road!! And he drove very very fast!! i felt as if i'm in Initial D!! And the car just swerve left and right! the 4 of us who're at the back are being slammed into one another left and right! We were screaming with all our mights! haha after that, all of us become very high already! Since the other car haven't reach the designated place, we decided to go to this kent ridge place and take some night pictures! apparently it's too dark, can't really see properly. But it's a nice view!

I reached home, did my qt, and i just fell on my bed. I'm so tired! But some of them even stayed till 530am in the morning! *claps* I think the camp which is next week is going to be very fun! hahaha i can anticipate that!!

My leaders of my life! :)

I went for ldrs' meeting tonight and i saw all the zone's cgls in one glance. I went back home and thought, who are the leaders in my life?

There are actually 3 very important leaders in my life and without them, life is never the same again. They are the one who help to shape my character, build me up and direct me.

Jesus, who never fails to amaze me with his consistency. His consistent love, care, understanding and sacrifice for people. Maybe some people may think the word "God" is a distance word.

Like.."The Almighty God is all powerful". I have to agree totally that this statement is true! Yet, this is not all of God's character. To me, He is gentle, loving, fatherly, joyful :) I may not see him physically but His presence and love for me is tangible. I pray and He replies. I talk and He listen. He talks and I listen :) A simple partnership but a deep relationship. I love God, a love that is made only for Him.. :)

When i was at my deepest pit, He lift me up.

When i was thinking of death, He showed me hope.

When i couldn't walk, He carried me.

When i was running, He encouraged me...

He's the leader of my life. Truly, without Him, i won't have known where am i today? :)

The 2nd most important leader in my life is my father :) Papa is a person whom i really respected. He's not the most educated nor the wealthiest but his love for me is something that is beyond what can be measured. Papa is a man of principles. Yes means yes, no means no. Anything beyond the boundaries, he will not accept. When i was in my growing up years, i've my restriction, like curfews, minimum mark for my exams and test etc..these are the benchmark that papa has set for me. I remember when i was primary 1, Anything below 90 marks is deemed as terrible and i will get canning. Opps! haha. Wells, but after canning, papa and mum will hug and kiss me and explain to me why they did that. So since young, i lived quite a"disciplined life", haha must come home before XX time everyday, must score XX marks for exams etc. But at that time, that doesn't really matter much, because i know these are important disciplines for my future! People may deem these as being strict but i've to say, my father gave me a lot a lot of freedom. Whatever i wanna do, he leave it to me. For instance, I don't need to ask him which school or which course he wants me to study. I just need to decide on my own and tell him. Last time i had violin, guitar and piano courses all at one go. It was fun! but it's very expensive. But papa still let me go, because he knows that i enjoy it. However, he knows that i will give up 1 or 2 of it eventually ( coz san1 fen1 zhong1 re4 du4) , yet he let me try it out for a few years. haha It's really this kind of freedom tat he gave me. I like talking to him, he's so fun loving haha! Btw..All the sacrifices he made for my family, i really appreciate a lot. This kind of sacrificial leader, is whom is worth following all my life.. :)

Thank God for my father!!

The 3rd most important leader in my life is my cgl, Boon Kiat. I really thank God for putting such a great leader over my life to mentor me. He himself is a living testimony and example and i really respect him. He has sowed into my life and i really appreciate him as my brother. It's like..when i'm going through bad times, he still believes that i will do very well. At those times, I don't even have that kind of faith and trust in myself, yet he does have in me! He does not think twice about helping me when i'm in need. It is his trust in me that touches me and makes me wanna run for his vision!

Thank God for Boonkiat :)

i just felt the leaders over us play such an important role in our lives!! We must always appreciate them!

Farewells!

Today is a day of farewell. We went to send Cheuk off at Airport :) Thank God for buddy like Yanghong who "treat" me a cab ride to airport heh heh.

During her trip back to Singapore, we didn't meet up much due to the difference in our schedules. I only meet her during the first ( KTV day) and last 2 days of her stay. In fact, when she was in Singapore studying previously..we didn't really get to know each other until when she went back HK permenently, then we started sharing online. There's something special about this friend that draws me to her! It really doesn't matter how much we've talked face to face, but what really matters is the special affinity we've for one another which i don't know how to describe =D

Anyway, at the airport, i saw the Hongkong star Ma De Zhong!!!! hahahahah!! My fave TVB star!!!

Yanghong was like, "Heys! the HK star"

Then sarah and i turned and i grasped! "MA DE ZHONG!!!"

And he looked over to see who's that crazy fan lol

Anyway Yanghong and i stayed in Changi Aiport for a while. He do his sot stuffs while i do my BIG HEAD card for my dear friend, Kenneth! He's leaving for Australia this thurs and we 've a farewell for him on that day itself.

Quanhan and i met went down for pm in nus so we couldn't make it for the big treat at marche, however!! We met the rest up for 2nd round at 4 seasons durian cafe. When we heard the location, we were like "WAh...how come they all so high class wan..eat durian still must go to cafe." Lol

Thank God for friend like Liangwei who came to school to pick us up! We went to the "CAFE" in balestier to meet the rest and found out that, only the name is high class, but the place is the roadside kind, v cosy=D And we're v comfortable with that! haha.

ANd....i ate the most expensive durian in my own life!!

FAINTS! Quanhan Liangwei and I ordered 2 of this durians and we didn't know it amounts to $120!!!! And we can't reject it coz the owner opened already.

Wells, we eat the durian "cheerfully" for the amount that is being paid.

And the 3rd round!! left the 5 of us. We decided to go for 3rd round. There's 2 cars, so Liangwei Quan Han and I are in the same car and all of us become high after eating so much durians! QH and I started to do our beatboxing, perhaps next year, we can join our Superband Lol. Then, on the journey there, for a split moment, LW tot he's in Initial D lol. QuanHan was tightening his seat belt and i was feverently singing the "Hallelujah" song that Dr Kim taught. lol.

And here's the card that i've made for kenneth!!!!! I wanted to make a head/face that looks like him, however, when my friends saw that, they said the hair style looks so much like mine!! But this is the easiest hairstyle to cut on paper! and it got 3D effect ok!

Good bye Kenneth =D Thank God for such a great friend like u. Even though we always "bicker" or suan or irritate each other, but we know that we're always good friends! :) Thanks for the encouragements you've always given to me and thanks for giving me your listening ears. And you're one of the friends that can flow so spontaneously with me! HAHAHA I will miss you!! all the best!!!

Presents!

HAPPY 21ST BDAY GABRIEL!!

Today we celebrated my dear friend, Gabriel's bday in church. haha we had a combined 3 cg debriefing. Dwayne called out the bday boy and we sang him bday song with the cake. And then.....!! Gifts presenting! We actually had 2 batches of "gifts". One is the fake, One is the real.

Sandra stood next to him innocently and presented him the presents.

"Heys gabriel!! this is the presents for you! Come on, take it out"

He, unsuspiciously took out and gave a very stunned face.

A FIRST AID KIT (generously being brought by yuantai as props!) lol

Then, He still wanted to open it to check the stuffs inside!!!

I was like "EH, no need check the stuffs la, take out ur next present!

He slowily took out, only to see a mesh of white cloth. THen...

GAb: "WAHH!!!" And he and the rest burst out laughing

LOL and gabriel really go and wear it lo!!! hahaha the scene is hilarious, on top of the normal tshirt that he is wearing, he's wearing a jacket. And then, with the putting on of my size de lab coat, he seems to be exploding! lol.

And lastly, Us at Azabu Sabo at Marina Square. The main course and deserts are nice!! Yanghong, Gab, Sandra and I shared 4 different deserts and it's not bad! But personally, i felt it's quite ex la!

Anyway, I am reading this book, titled "I kissed dating goodbye" by Joshua Harris. He talks about how we should evaluate our relationship with respect to God. It's not biased on singlehood but it talks about the goodness of singlehood. However, ultimately, like what the bible says, God's wish for almost all of us is to get married and to have kids. Think about it, how can we serve God wholeheartedly during our singlehood times and how can we use our singlehood to do great things for God?? I was like "Woah!" when i read the book. He talks on many points that we're always questioning. Like, how far should one go during a date? What is the purpose of dating? To has a pre-marriage trial? To pass time? To prepare for marriage?

Wells, this book really challenges the values in the society today. It gives many examples of how couples come and go while some stayed.

And 2 of my friends are engaged after a 5 years r/s!! =D Blessings to them!!

HAPPY PRE 21ST BIRTHDAY GABRIEL!!!

Gabriel is my very good friend!! He's one of the most patient friends i ever have hahaha Today, Grace, Sandra and I wanted to have personal steamboat dinner with him! All along from 2 days ago, he thought he's meeting me to have bs LOL. Until we stepped into "tian tian steamboat", then he realized, yeah, we're not having bs!! but a Feast!!

Anyway, We had the ma2 la4 and pork rib soup base! the pork rib soup base is fantastic! i love it. However, the ingredients there like not very fresh lei.. lol.. the prawn's head is like dropping off those kind =S. I probably won't go there a 2nd time.

After eating the steamboat, all of us were full!! BUT, there's still full of dessert!! SO....we went to bugis street for DURIANSSS!!!!

And us!! =D We bought 2 durians. Actually is $8 each. But the owner gave discount, so 2 for $15.

I was like.."Uncle, can cheaper ma????"

He turned and looked at me, "What you call me???!!"

He's really quite young la, around 30+ lol. I was like..diu Lian.....

i realized we didn't have a picture where all the 4 of us are in!!

After our dessert, Grace left and 3 of us went down to Cityhall to look for Sean. He's flying off early morning on Sunday so today will be the last day we will be seeing him. I will miss this dear friend of mine!

I thank God for friends like Gabriel and Sean. We played a lot together but ultimately, friendship is not just about playing or fun, it is giving comfort and assurance and being there just for him/her.

Those were the times!

I went to Chung Cheng High for a mentoring programme ytd. The students there were so young and so innocent- looking. The girls had their skirts up to their knees and some even tied plaits. The boys are sweaty all over, wearing their spectacles and with their socks high up. :) Those were the times. I was reminded of the time i was like that too! I went past my sec sch Bukit Panjang Govt High last week and I just felt a surged of emotions coming up. However, the appearance of the school has changed. It is undergoing massive renovation. I was like , "Sigh..how come all my school looked different now...Qihua Primary, BPGHS and even SAJC." haha but i really had so much fun during my school days! I was quite toot-looking i think! my hair is always messy and i wore specs! My skirt was long initially but as my secondary level increase, the length of skirt starts to decrease too. lol. My socks were quite high! coz that time's fashion is high sock! We were trendy ok! haha. and of coz! my big bag! =D Wells, sometimes when i looked back at my sec. sch photos, i was like "WAH! last time i looked like that!!" haha. I hope it's from glory to glory ya!

Someone asked me, "If God asks you to "Go!" (run), will you Go? God already says "Go!", Will you Go??"

I nodded my head :)

I may not know where is it but i know God will be waiting for me at the finishing line and He will be my greatest cheerleader! =D
