I thank God for her. My darling friend :)

I felt so much relieved today. Sandra is back!! She's my little darling =D we know each other since Jc1, and that's like...4 years ago?? Recently she got into a v bad accident and many of us are so worried for her! I saw her blog and even as i read it, my heart is like sinking la. I got to know from Sarah, her sis, last week that she's coming back on sat. So I kept calling her house no, hp no, sis's hp no. and i can't get thru and no one picks up. Even on sunday, i'm unable to reach her. On monday morning, called again, but no one picks. i was thinking how could it be. even if she left Canada on sat night, she would have reach Singapore already. Then i called again in the afternoon..."ring Ring.." for 20 seconds, i wanted to hang the phone already. Then...

Someone:"Hello?"
Me: "Hello, May i speak to Sandra?"
She:"You're.."
Me:"Oh, is this Sandra's mum? Aunty, i'm Myrna, is sandra back already?"
Aunty:" OH Myrna, ya she's back already..just woke up, hold on ah.."

Finally, i got in contact with Sandra! Hearing from her voice, she's seem quite fine!! she told me that she left Canada on friday and only reach Singapore on monday 2am!!

I was like "WAH! You took so a fews day to reach Singapore!!" LOL
In fact, her parents and her met up with a lot of hiccups that were -_-. They transited at 5,6 places and one of the hiccups is like..the pilot took emergency leave and there's not enough pilots to fly the plane -__- lol. but really thank God her familiy and her have safely reached Singapore! Her parents flew over almost immediately after they heard about her accident, leaving aside everything and just wanna get over there asap to look after her. When we heard that, we were very touched, i mean..its really the love of parents for the child=) And when she told me the other hiccups and incidents, it was as if something is preventing her from coming back! they had a very bad time flying back due to the weather condition and once, the plane dropped and she flew up!

Despite all the things that happened, Sandra can still make many jokes out of it and indeed, she's a very optimistic and strong girl, don't look at her small frame, she really has a big heart!
After talking and praying for her etc..we ended the phone call. i felt very touched. very thankful. so relieved.

I guess we really have to treasure our life and knowing that no amount of money, achievements, fame etc can buy our life. Our life is built not on all those, but it's really built on the love we had for others, and the love from others.

I thank God for Sandra and i thank God for the people around me. =D Let's build our lives with love!

It is SATURDAY! haha i'm so happy! finally survived through the hectic 1 week study break.Only finished my experimental project on thurs and leaves only 1.5 days to concentrate on my perfume and cosmetics module, whereby the exam is on today!! Thank God, i'm still alive =D
It's a very interesting module! You all can consider taking it! we learn about the composition, biology,chemistry etc. of perfume and cosmetics. And of course, how to take care of our skin and so on. I went to school with Simin this morning to take the exam and i was telling her that after taking this module, i 'm afraid of the sun now! it may sound a bit gu-niang but i never know how much damage it can cause to our skin until this sem. She was telling me after taking this module, she don't dare to go tanning already. hahaha, but friends, really tanning is not healthy..when we sun-tanned, it's is actually sun damage to the skin. And the skin "remembers" the tan damage..so when we grow old, the effects kinda accumulate and it will cause the skin to be even more wrinkled!! =X Btw, It's not a girly module, but in fact nearly half of the cohort are guys!!

After exam today, i went for cg. Gabriel and i conincidentally met each other at the gate and we all reached Howard's place early. And it's so paiseh, coz Howard and family are still having their lunch, while we just popped out, i felt as if we are intruding them. So, to keep ourselves occupied and to avoid the awkardness, gabriel and i sat at the sofa and i took out my perfume and cosemetics notes (i just had the exam in the morning remember?? ) So, i taught him about acne! Moisturizer, cleanser! Skin! Chanel No. 5 composition! haha! so satisfying! I pretended to be the lecturer who's having a presentation, while he's the student and we had the lecturer-student interaction! Questions are posted and answered LOL. And gabriel is so funny, he's so attentive! that's why i feel so accomplished! Lol..

Anyway, for all friends, we're on the way, and half way through!! Let's keep on keeping on:)

I stayed home almost everyday for the past week, except for the times when i went out for piano, tution and hand up report. Staying at home is....

haha i never like to study in library for long hours because it gets very uncomfortable after 3,4 hours. My max is 4 hours in library. Really admire my friends who are able to study there from day to night. I know quite a number of you all study in school from 10am to 10pm right haha. Today, i heard from Grace that she know of this guy, arts dean's list student, always stay over night to study in central library and he goes home once every 2 days!! haha i can't imagine studying for 24hrs or 36 hrs straight. this is crazy! But hard work is really the key to good results, no wonder he get straight As. Well, this i can't deny, he's really admirable, for his determination and perseverance! :)

Let's all work v hard! After this 1.5 weeks, there comes play time! =D

A strong heart that i want

Last week has been good in a way! The good thing is..many of my lectures ended 1 week b4 so i only went for a total of 6 hours of lecture this week alone! haha plus a 40 mins test. that's all! :) And it's already sunday and my exams my starting on the following sat, this coming week is going to be hectic and challenging!

So many things happened yesterday. It's like a rollar coaster of emotions, learning, and revelation. Till now, i still blown away by ytd's cg. During worship, prayer and ministry time, the presence of God is so strong!! The Word & prophecy that Boonkiat gave me..One of the part of the Word is "If you can't be nobel prize winner, If you can't marry the man u love, will you still follow Jesus?" With tears in my eyes, i said Yes. It's Jesus who gave me the life. I had nothing in the first place when i first get to know Him. But it is Him who corrected my mindset of my self-perception, self-worth & self-esteem. It's him who gave me the joy and love :) I will never exhange anything for Him. I love you Jesus.

After Cg, i follow Boonkiat and Ian to service and it is FANTASTIC!!! hahaha i like DR KIM!! she's a female preacher and wife of Dr Choi! She's the 2nd female preacher who came to our church to share i think. The other preaher is Joyce Meyer, she's awesome too! Dr Kim is a korean and even tho her message is very simple, about our life journey with Jesus. She shared a lot of things about her and her husband..how they run the vision together, how they love each other despite all things, and how she overcome all the challenges she had in her life. I mean..she's so gentle..very very veeerryyy motherly :) It's the anointing that flows! As I sat with Ian, we were seated only a few rows away from the front stage and i was so happy that i could see her from such a near distance! Such a humble lady. A heart after God. A heart that believes that God will bring her through everything, A heart that trust in the Lord. Amazing woman of God. She had so much achievements, yet when she speaks, there's a tinge of gentleness & meekness in her. I want to be like her, carrying the presence of God, carrying the gentleness and meekness when i do counselling or ministering to people. She's..just Awesome.. :)

Thank God, I woke up this morning in peace! For the past week, since monday, i have been having nightmares every night. When morning comes, i will always wake up in shock with my heart pumping v fast! =X I don't like that feeling -_-" But i don't remember what dreams i had already.

Anyways!! regardless of what happened and what we are going through, let's face it with a positive attitude and with a strong heart!! add oil to myself and friends!! :)

Thank God for Sandra! she's okay now and she will be back to Singapore in 2 weeks time! For those who know what happened, please continue praying for her speedy recovery! Love this girl so much, was so relieved what she emailed back and said she's alright :)

Happy Bday to Yanghong Jieyun Dwayne Soonguan!!

This few days are going to be awesome! there're 4 of my friends' bday within 3 days!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YANGHONG, JIEYUN, DWAYNE & SOONGUAN!!


I just came back from Dwayne's party, haha it was good! After meeting yen to get Dwayne's present from him, i travel down to serangoon. Dwayne came out of his condo there to meet me and the moment i saw him, i couldn't help myself but to tell him the wu1 long2 shi4 jian4!! arghh!! it's so embarrassing and they all have been talking about it for the whole night! please do not remind me again when u all see me =X roars! When i got into his house, Jieyun is already there, helping out. For those who don't know Dwayne and Jieyun, they are my lovely couple friends! heh :) I asked Aunty if there's anything to help and aunty say don't have. So i decided, to make myself useful, i shall do a banner for dwayne! haha! Praise God Quanhan came not long after. We all wanna do a simple and colourful letters banner, saying "Happy Birthday Dwayne!". We tried our best, we cut, we drew,we folded, and thinking that we've done a good job, we all went out to the bbq pit, already ready to paste or hang it. Then Quanhan was like, "how come there's so few letters?? then i was like "OH YAH! we only cut "HAPPY DWAYNE" LOL..so we all went back to the house to do the "BDAY" with our friends..heh..end up..Hmmm...i think it's not bad! those who went for the party, don't u think so? haha

The food is v good! He catered buffet and even hired the satay uncle and aunty to make and bbq the satay on the spot !! First time i saw this in a bday party haha and it's 500 sticks !! i was like, "Why not let's have a satay eating competition???!" I was trying very hard to accumulate my satay sticks but they all don't wanna compete with me!! -_-

Then, Yanghong's actual bday is today!! He had his bday celebration with his family during lunch and we asked him how was it. And PLEASE PREPARE FOR THIS ROLLAR COASTER!!

He and his family, a total of 5 people, ate..
1) A $200 worth suckling pig (WHOLE THING!!)
2) 3 crabs!! ( I Love crabs! made me drool!)
3) 2 lobsters!!!
4) Sharkfins!!
5) 3.5kg Fish!
6) And many many more dishes!!

All of us were like..blown away!!! haha We were like.."Yanghong! why u never call us?? we want to be there too!"

So we spent most of our time chit chatting, catching up, eating etc...and Uncle passed us a bottle of red wine, it's actually half bottle. By the time it reached liangwei's hand, it all gone and empty. really..not a single drop left. He drank 7 glasses!! And his reflex really slowed down by alot! haha! Clement kept calling him, and they're seated so close together yet LW couldn't respond. And it's not once, it's a few times!! haha i only drank 2 sips and i don't wanna drink anymore. =X

Then it comes to Cutting Cake session! haha after singing song etc, we demanded for a 21st bday speech from Dwayne and we wanted to hear the main point, that is his love declaration for Jieyun! haha! it's hilarious! Kenneth dixon and Lengkian they all were like, "Hug and kiss, Hug and kiss!" LOL...and Dwayne is super duper shy. I've always seen him preach mightily with such confidence and fire, but now, he's really v shy hahahaha! But end up he did declare his love for Jieyun with words la! =D haha

Overall it's fun! I think birthday party can be a time we appreciate our family & friends for all they've done in our lives! :)

Frantic!

I'm glad it's friday!!! This week has been "AWESOME"! 2 tests and 2 project submissions! haha projects for perfume & cosmetics and physics and life science. And i really don't know why, something always happen right before we wanna submit our project! But i'm really thankful i got very good group mates for both of the projects! For perfume & cosmetics, we were supposed to hand up at 2pm monday, and we were still doing touch up the night before! and darice even skipped lecture the next day (mon) to finish up the last bit. Monday came. It was 12pm...1pm....110pm..lecture ended early..

I called darice
Me:"Darice! have you left your house?"
Darice: "Myrna! i still haven't leave, i will be taking cab down"
Me:"Okok! Submission is 2pm ok!"

A petite slim figure appeared at the door!! she's panting!And apparently, she ran up the stairs.

"DARICE!! YEAH!!" Grace and i heaved a sigh of relief!

haha I tell you, it was as if Grace and I were fathers, waiting at the operation doorstep to await for our baby to be born!

Then today, had a physics test and after the test, i was completely wiped out,I was so mentally exhausted! We had it in the lecture hall. It is according to our surname, so marie and i sat at the opposite end of the LT. Despite sitting so far from me, She just caught my attention for a few times by giving the "disturbed" look. lol. Even the lecturer went up to her and asked if she's ok! haha! After the test, marie sarah and i went to print our phyics in LS project as submission is today! End up, we realized that sth is not not done yet! we were panicked! and it's like 150pm already, n we got class at 2pm and it's Marie fave lecturer. But really, the female lecturer is simply cool! She gives me those feeling as if she went to backpack for 3 years, lived in the most deserted place to experience the native life & shun bian do her research and took part in Survivor! she's simply gorgeous and carries with an attitude that makes us do thumbs up..! So, we were deciding whether or not to finish up the sth that we have not done...And finally we decided to sit down and just do it! We missed our lecture. By the time we finished and printed, it was around 3pm, we decided, we never want to see that project report ever again!

We went to reward ourselves with SubWay and 3 of us are really famished and tired! Since Sarah is psy student, we asked her a lot of related questions and yes, having a psy major friend is good.haha I believe she will be a good counsellor! :)

After eating etc, we all went our own ways and i gotta give tuition. When i went up to mavis(my tution kid)'s place, she's as equally tired as me. She's very soft today, so am i. After a while i realized both of us are quite sian diao. But i can't!! or not i will make her even more bored! So i perked myself up and Praise God, i managed to crack a few jokes and make her laugh quite uncontrollably. hehe..Everything went smoothly.

By the time i reached home at night, i was completely completely COMPLETELY!! LOW BATT! i have no energy at all. But i feel so good at home. i mean the moment i reach home, my parents greeted me so energetically and i like talking to them. hahah they can just make me laugh! At home, i feel secured and loved. That's what home should be. A shelter. No matter how tired we are outside, when we reach home, it is a place we should feel the most relaxed of all :) I believe the same for our friends. When we were with our friends, we should create an environment whereby everyone feel at home :) That's what i think. That's what friends are for too. How tired it would be if we are so uneasy with the people around us! haha. And i think, to build that kinda of environment, we must start from ourselves :)

Until today, I was totally blown away by Amoz's guitar playing skills!We had cell group yesterday. He came over to our cg to help and it's the first time both of us come together and prepare for p & w. we all met earlier to practice and i felt he's just like the guitar + Bass + drums! all 3 in one! haha fantastic! no wonder he's in Bro Poh's guitar class =D so proud of him! And he's like only 20 years old, even younger than me..! haha..Set aside the good technical skills he has, it's the anointing and presence that he carries =) A willing heart to serve and a yearning attitude to learn to be even better...thumbs up for amoz! I believe you will go very very far =)

And i'm finally changing my hp!! My old hp has been with me ever since the last day of Alevel exams. i remember right after my last paper for A's, i went to buy it with my parents! haha a kind of reward for myself. It has been with me for around 2.5 years! It contains all my precious pictures, contacts and memories..lol..i'm not going to sell it away, even tho it's really quite old but no amount of money can exchange for my this battle warrior! =D

Haven't blog for 2 weeks! have been rather busy this period of time. I'm having my CA2s now!! CA1 is enough for me to be stressed, how come there's a CA2????!! But let's rejoice in everything! haha or not life will be miserable :)

Anyway, Darice Grace and i were doing the Perfume and cosmetic module and we had this project to do. One of the part is that we gotta do an shampoo advertisement, so we decided to do a video ad. so right after school yesterday, Grace and i went down to my house. we started working from 445 to 845pm! i was totally tired and hungry after that, i bet Grace is even more tired and hungry considering that she gotta travel back home! we acted out ourselves and Grace look SOOOooo cute in that particular image!!! everytime i said that, she will give me the "chou2 hen4" look lol..and keep saying she "chu1 mai4 se4 xiang4" . haha everytime i see the video, i couldn't stop my laughter! simply adorable! i think i watched like 20++ times but everytime i watch it, it never fails to tickle my laughing bones. Lol..However, this video is not for public viewing, we're too dui lian already!

After we finish filming most of the scenes, we realized that we don't know how to edit and put all the scenes into place!! we were panicking! Then we called Zhixian to ask if she's free to come down to my house and the first thing she said after we asked her is not "Oh..i'm not free now..not very convenient now" but the first thing she said is, "Heys i ask you something.. Can i drive down? will ur security let me in?" We were like...GRATEFUL!! she's really very very nice!! :) hahahaha after she came, we, who were as if the drowning victims, seems to have hold on to a floating log. hahaha she guide us and in less than 1 hr, we are done with our stuffs and we started doing our normal thing, that is too.....TAKE PICTURES!!

Really blessed with many very nice and loyal friends!! Thank God for that!! =D haha
