Life science is COOL!!

I had my last pharmacology lab practical yesterday and can tell, many are missing lab session as this will be the last lab for the whole of 3 years of our Life science education!! Hence, many took out handphones and take all the pictures that we wanted. heh..

Introducing my lab partners! Mayvina, Debbie, Wang wei and Hua Fei! :) I know the 3 pretty ladies since i was year 1 and we were often lab partners whenever we all take the same modules as our surnames are near to each other!

Many people said in general, Science people are very toot, hahaha BUT I think life science girls are trendy, cool, fun and smart!!!!!!! And i think life science guys are intelligent!!!!! don't know what other adjective to describe them alr! Lol.

I am at Central Library right now. Facing the laptop and trying to finish up my Popular Culture term paper. It has been a long time since i did a term paper. The last one was during..Year 1??! I remember i took quite a few arts modules like Sociology of Tourism, Making sense of Society and South east Asia studies. From then, i made a resolutioin not to take arts mod. LOL. it is difficult!

You must be thinking why i'm taking this art mod then???

1) Popular culture --> sounds interesting!! Thought i will be reviewing and evaluating movies, doing critical analysis of pop and rock music, or discovering more of the entertainment world!! BUT..it's not. At all. =X

2) Wanna take a mod with twinniez ( our pact in our uni days! or not we won't be able to meet each other up frequently)

End result with advantage : I have quality time spent with twnniez! Looking forward to seeing her! :) and angie and joseph. Plus, i can s/u this mod! lol. so it's not so bad. but still, i wanna do my best.

Also, i 've my 2 cardio group project and individual paper yet to be done! And..1 more CA to go. And it will all be due around easter :):) Honestly, i feel stretched, some many schoolwork to be done. And this 2 days i will be going down to VS hostel. But in all, i leave it up to God. It's amazing how God has strengthened me and put ppl around me to encourage me. And i know that i'm not in all these alone. Many of my friends are going through this period of challenging time too!

Why??

Did i get 5.0 for my CAP score? or did someone gave me $10000 as a gift? or have i received a Chanel Bag at my door steP?? or did i have 10 other admirers??

The answer is. hur hur. No.

i feel it doesn't take a lot to feel blessed. I really like what Sandra said in her blog, we should always count our blessings. However, it doesn't mean that i'm living in my own world and fantasy, thinking that everything is alright. As much as we really hope so, reality is not like that :) We face challenges, difficulties and obstacles. The thing is, all these are temporal but they will keep coming and going. The only constant in life is change. Like what kenneth said in his blog as well, regardless whether its positive or negative thing about us, we need to change. If we're good, we need to be better. If we're not that good, let's work hard and change for the better. (oh man, i guess i've been too many citations for my papers and projects! even now blogging, i still have to cite!! Lol)

I'm thankful for the people around me who're always there to sow into my life. People who really cares for me, love me and accept who i am. I'm not perfect and i will never be perfect. But i'm striving to be a better person each day. Experiencing life and learning through it.

Life.
It only make up of 4 letters but it consists of abundance of wonders. You and I are wonders. As i study science, the complexity of our body to the finest details always make me "Woahhh"

I love Life. Coz life enables me to see, hear, taste, smell and feel. It gives me the senses to experience the wonders of God fully. As long as we live, there are hopes!! :) Because many people have been a blessing to me and have contributed to who i am and my life, i strive to being a blessing to others as well. :):)

Roars!! Term papers to do!!

Awesome!

Had a long and tiring day today but it was fun!! went for jamming session with Daniel, charmaine and Nathan! been a long while since i see nathan =DD

Anyway, gotta say, nowadays the weather is really striking hot. I ended my tutorial late and was late to meet the 3 of them. hence, i was speeding up my pace walking from centre of life science( ulu place of nus) to NUH bus stop (it's a v long way without shelter). And i waited for quite long for the bus. End up, by the time i got up the bus, i was feeling nausea and faint. In the mrt, i stood by the side, leaned against the wall and closed my eyes. Keep praying. "God, take away all the discomfort. I cannot faint here..". And praise the Lord! by the time i alighted, i was feel really alright alr =DD Must not be under the hot sun for too long! will get heatstroke =/ i remember last time while i was waiting for my bus for 30 mins under the hot sun and i was feeling faint and weird. By the time i reach home, i rushed to my toilet to vomit. So...the moral of the story is.....Avoid the hot sun!! =X take care k!!

Anyway, here we are!! We got keyboardist, drummer, bassist and guitarist!! haha Nathan got the style right!! Daniel looks like he's eating the mike! But he's good, can play all the instruments! *thumbs up* the instructor of our band as well! lol

hahaha today i played till quite shuang!! satisfied! But.....honestly the studio that we went to is really quite chui. the keyboard don't even have pedal! so it sounds really weird. =S

And..Daniel did cg video!! Din know that he can make such video! And thanks to Sandra for helping with the video taking and preparation! Anyway, This is from us to nathan!! =DD Even though lilian and i wanted the video shld be kept low profile for fear of losing our face Lol..but i feel it's really awesome! shall share!! =D

And to you my dearie gurliex , be strong and know that He is our God. God of love, peace and joy. We are all standing with you, praying and believing together with you.. love :)

Encouraged.

I woke up in the morning, went to snooze my handphone. it has been a few times and finally at 6am, i jumped out of my bed. I felt so energetic suddenly! Prayer meeting! I went for prayer meeting every day and today i went for twice, or shld i say, one and a half. Went in the morning and saw chew and yh. then went to the evening pm with titus but left halfway as i went to meet daniel lilian and charmaine :) We're going into VS hostel ( not vice versa, but victoria school). Prayed. Fasted. Just for this opportunity wanting to bless the students and to get to know them more. We talked to about 10 students individually and many are scholars from other parts of asia. Talked to this vietnamese scholar (only sec.3) and he's super duper funny can hahaha! Man, i think he makes me laugh the most amongst all that i spoke to. I didn't need to think much about what to talk about, but he will be the one sharing about his life in vietnam..etc etc. Lol. When i left the hostel, he sent me an sms that really encourages me :):)

Going there is worth it :) it made me realize something to be thankful for...

I really thank God for such good team mates and friends with me to run this race together with me! when i look to my left and when i look to my right, i will see them. :):) Despite being tired ( i can sense but they have never said it out :)) and busy ( i found out. one came right from work, one has been out since 6am for pm and subsequent scholarship interviews and one got SPA practical the next day) yet, they made the effort to come. they didnt' say a single negative word about being tired and all and yet are enthusiastic about the whole outreach. I felt so encouraged by them. It doesn't take one to be encouraged by super influential or powerful man. It only take one to be encouraged by a willing and sincere person, whom you can call friend :)

Time check, 12:53am. Morning pm tml! must sleep early, or not will have pimples! roars!
